The Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of Valls has officially opened its first Territorial Delegation in Alcover, based at Ca Cosme (House of Culture). This initiative seeks to promote the economic development of the Alt Camp region, allowing local businesses, shops, and self-employed individuals direct access to the Chamber's services without the need to travel to Valls.
The mayor of Alcover, Robert Figueras, welcomed attendees, highlighting the importance of this municipal commitment to local economic growth. For his part, the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Valls, Josep Maria Rovira, emphasized the strategy of proximity as key to strengthening territorial competitiveness, stating that "the economic development of the Alt Camp is built municipality by municipality" and that Alcover's business fabric deserves the same support as the rest of the province.
The new delegation will offer business support, specialized advice, and assistance for economic development. The service will operate on demand and by appointment, covering areas such as advice for business creation, digitalization through the Oficina Accelera Pime Program, training and employment (including tailored courses and programs like Talento Joven and Talento +45), management of grants and European funds (Next Generation EU, FEDER), and business networking.
The project includes a quarterly monitoring committee to evaluate results and plan future actions in the municipality.
