The Department of Sports of the Alcover City Council has initiated a campaign aimed at fostering respect and coexistence across all sports disciplines in the municipality. This initiative seeks to reinforce fundamental competition values.
From now on, before every sports match held at the Camp d'Esports and the Pavelló Municipal, a promotional audio clip will be broadcast. This audio piece will highlight key values such as respect, effort, passion, self-improvement, and, crucially, coexistence among participants.
The primary objective is to contribute to the creation of sports environments that are safe, inclusive, and free from any form of hate or harmful attitudes. The City Council aims to emphasize that sports practice extends beyond the final result.
Sport is considered a space for enjoyment, learning, and personal growth, where all involved parties – players, technical teams, families, fans, and referees – play an essential role in the experience.
