The project, currently in the urban planning phase, involves the development of 230 hectares of land. According to technical forecasts, the initiative includes a main plot of 130 hectares designated for production activities, with an estimated total investment of 60 million euros.
The initial approval of the Urban Master Plan is scheduled for this July. The administration's goal is to facilitate the arrival of new companies and support the expansion of existing businesses in the area, amidst the technological transformation of the Catalan productive sector.
In addition to land expansion, the agreement signed between the Government, unions, and employers' associations emphasizes decarbonization. Specific aid for climate change mitigation and support for the transition to more sustainable production models are planned, with a particular focus on the chemical sector.
