The PSC submitted three motions during the plenary session. Socialist councilor Maria Assumpció Fernández urged the commemoration of International LGTBIQ+ Pride Day as an institutional act, emphasizing the need for active education and awareness policies to combat intolerance.
Councilor Toni Egea, also from the PSC, addressed concerns about housing access, criticizing the delay in launching the local housing plan. He noted that ERC has managed the department for 11 years and Valls has lacked a current housing plan for 5 years. Egea called for accelerating the procedures for drafting a new plan and informing municipal groups about the planned timeline.
Regarding electric vehicle charging points, Egea expressed concern over the delay in their operational status, despite being a positive initiative for the city. He requested explanations from the mobility department regarding the reasons for the delay, as citizens are awaiting the use of these facilities.
For their part, Pere Vidal of the CUP presented a motion to remember the situation in Gaza and lamented that out of fourteen banners approved last year for display, only one has been hung, criticizing the non-compliance with municipal agreements.
ERC councilor Natàlia Moncunill responded to the PSC regarding housing, assuring that the new local housing plan would be promoted as soon as the 2026 budget allocation could be used, and offered an open hand and transparency.
Finally, ERC councilor Pau Tondo addressed the electric vehicle charging points, stating that they are in progress and depend on the electric company for installation completion, but will be operational soon.
