The incidents took place during the town's main festivals and the following week. According to reports, the burglaries share similarities in their execution method, characterized by being quick and primarily focused on the theft of jewelry and money. In one instance, however, the thieves took alcoholic beverages from the municipal swimming pool bar.
This situation has prompted a group of residents to organize themselves to carry out nighttime surveillance groups. As the residents themselves have communicated, they informed the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan Police) about this citizen initiative.
The Mossos d'Esquadra have confirmed receiving three reports related to these incidents during the two weeks in question. The Catalan police have indicated that the three cases are under investigation and, therefore, no further details can be provided. However, the residents' group suggests that the actual number of burglaries might be higher than the officially reported cases.
Most of these burglaries have occurred in houses located on streets with easy access for a quick escape, as well as near the municipal swimming pool bar.
