The fire alert was received around half-past four in the afternoon. The flames affected a field situated at a strategic point in the area. Firefighters from the stations in Alcover, Valls, Montblanc, and Vila-rodona, along with personnel from the Emergency Region, quickly responded to the scene.
One hour after the start of the extinguishing efforts, firefighters managed to completely surround the flames, thus controlling the situation. Although a water-dropping helicopter was initially mobilized, its use was ultimately not required.
In addition to this main fire, two other smaller fires broke out in the region during the early afternoon hours. One occurred in Cabra del Camp, alerted at 12:09 PM due to flames in a lot on Reus street. Three crews were deployed to extinguish the fire, which primarily affected brushwood and accumulated wood on a plot.
The third fire started at 1:19 PM in Montbrió del Camp, where approximately 100 square meters of brushwood burned on the road to Vinyols. A single fire crew was sufficient to put out this small blaze.
