The city of Valls is preparing to experience an afternoon full of rhythm, color, and coexistence with the celebration of the Senegalese Sabar Event. This cultural initiative, promoted by the Senegalese Association of Valls, will take place on May 30th, 2026, from 6 PM to 9 PM, at the Plaça del Pati.
The event, open to all citizens, aims to bring the traditional culture, music, and dance of Senegal closer to the people of Valls. Sabar, a dance and percussion style with deep roots, will be the highlight of an afternoon promising energy and participation.
According to the organization, the initiative seeks to foster intercultural coexistence, give visibility to the Senegalese community in the municipality, and showcase an essential part of their cultural heritage. The day will feature traditional dance, live music, and opportunities for neighbors to connect.
Under the slogan “Feel the rhythm, live Senegal,” the event is presented as a unique opportunity to discover a vibrant artistic expression and connect with a culture that is part of the social fabric of Valls.
