Citizens in Valls have launched a signature collection campaign to stop the potential removal of ESO studies at the Jaume Huguet Institute, a historic center of reference in the region.

The initiative has gained massive support in less than 24 hours, exceeding 500 signatures. This public response reflects the concern regarding the possibility that the center, with a long pedagogical history and recognized for various innovative projects, might stop providing compulsory secondary education to become a center dedicated exclusively to Vocational Training.
Campaign organizers warn that this change would have a direct negative impact on families and students in the Alt Camp area. Among the main concerns are the risk of overcrowding in other local schools and a potential decline in the overall quality of education in the city.
Beyond the academic issue, the citizens' platform denounces a lack of transparency and dialogue from the responsible authorities. According to the organizers, the educational community has not been properly informed about a change that would profoundly alter the center's current model and its social role in Valls.
