This initiative, costing 6,655 euros (VAT included) and funded by the municipal budget, aims to update and strengthen public equality policies in the town. The drafting process will begin in May and is expected to conclude by the end of October 2026.
The new plan will continue the work started in 2008 with the first document in this area. Since then, the city has implemented various plans that have defined the lines of action in gender policies, with the current document extended until now.
One of the most notable novelties is the inclusion of the LGBTIQ+ perspective, which will broaden the scope of equality policies and specifically address the needs of this collective, which had not previously been covered in a dedicated plan.
The project will include a diagnostic phase and a citizen participation phase, with the aim of gathering contributions from entities and residents. This participatory process will be fundamental for defining concrete measures to prevent discrimination and violence, as well as to promote equal opportunities in areas such as education, work, and social life.
