The Casteller Museum Square in Valls was the venue on Sunday, June 21st, for the first 'Joans' Gathering. This pioneering initiative aims to unite and honor all citizens of Valls who share a name with the city's patron saint, including variations such as Joan, Joana, Jana, or Jan.
The event commenced with an institutional welcome from the mayor, followed by one of the most emotional moments: the official presentation of the Saint John the Baptist print for 2026. Subsequently, a group photograph of the participants was taken, and a parade proceeded through the streets of the historic center.
“"The event kicked off with an institutional welcome from Mayor Dolor Farré to the numerous attendees gathered"
The celebration was organized by the Association of Confraternities and Brotherhoods of Holy Week in Valls, with the collaboration of the Valls City Council, the Catalan Casteller Museum, and the Parish of Sant Joan Baptista.
