FC Borrassà Condemns Violent Incidents in Promotion Play-off

The Alt Empordà club has expressed its rejection of the fight between fans and offered legal support to the victims.

Futbol Club Borrassà has issued a statement strongly condemning the violent incidents that took place last Saturday in the stands of the Municipal Field, following the promotion play-off semi-final match.

The sports entity has described the events as «unacceptable» and emphasized that such behavior «has no place in our field, in amateur football in the Empordà region, or in any sports venue». The fight involved fans from Borrassà and Vilamalla, with the participation of at least one player from the visiting team, and occurred immediately after the match ended.

Furthermore, the Alt Empordà club has expressed its «most emphatic condemnation of any manifestation of racism or xenophobia» and has conveyed its «support and solidarity to the people who suffered or witnessed the situation». The entity has confirmed that it will support any legal action that may arise from these incidents.
The second leg of the play-off semi-finals is scheduled for next Saturday at 5 PM, and will be played at Vilamalla's home ground.
