Agents of the Civil Guard conducted an operation in La Jonquera on May 11, 2026, which led to the discovery of a significant quantity of narcotics. The drugs were meticulously concealed in secret compartments within a van.

During the vehicle inspection, officers found a total of 73 kilograms of marijuana distributed in several packages. These were disguised in specially adapted false bottoms for drug trafficking, making detection difficult.

As a result of this intervention, three people have been arrested in connection with the transportation and possession of the drugs. The arrested individuals now face charges for illicit substance trafficking.
