This project, closely linked to the museum's Strategic Plan and its recently inaugurated new museography, aims to go beyond traditional metrics like visitor numbers to focus on the real impact of its existence.
The initiative is supported by Indeed Social Consulting, a consultancy specializing in social impact within the cultural sector. A participatory session has been held with key stakeholders connected to the museum and its surroundings to gather their perspectives on the institution's role.
This meeting has allowed for the initial identification of changes the museum generates or can generate, as well as the impacts considered most significant by the various participants. These elements will be crucial for constructing the Ecomuseum's Theory of Change.
Territorial participation is an essential pillar of the project. Stakeholders from educational, social, cultural, and community spheres are planned to be incorporated through contrast spaces to ensure the strategy aligns with local reality and needs.
The Social Impact Strategy will provide the Ecomuseum with a structured framework to articulate the social, cultural, and educational changes inherent in its mission and activities, and to discover new avenues for action.
The project will include the definition of impact objectives, lines of action, quantitative and qualitative indicators, and a monitoring system for integration into the museum's future planning and evaluation.
This tool will help guide decision-making, strengthen territorial alliances, and consolidate the Ecomuseum's role as a culturally transformative agent.
The project receives a grant from the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya, as part of the call for strategic programs for museums.
