Llançà swimmer Marcos Rodríguez Rejano has successfully completed the challenging Battle of Rande crossing for the second consecutive year, a 27-kilometer route in the Atlantic waters of Galicia.

The event, held on June 20th in Vigo, is inspired by historical events and is considered one of Spain's toughest open-water swimming challenges. Rodríguez Rejano took 8 hours and 37 minutes to reach the finish line, facing particularly adverse maritime conditions that tested his physical and mental endurance.
The Battle of Rande is notable not only for its considerable distance but also for the low water temperature and sea instability, factors that increase the difficulty for participants. These elements pushed the swimmers present to their limits.
With this new achievement, the Llançà swimmer continues to build his long-distance swimming career and reaffirm his passion for open waters. Rodríguez is now setting his sights on his next major goal: the Strait of Gibraltar crossing, scheduled for late June to early July, pending favorable weather conditions.
