The workplace accident occurred around 3 AM. The victim, a resident of Breda, was carrying out maintenance tasks when he received the electric shock.
A colleague took him to the Camallera station. Despite the rapid intervention of emergency services, including the use of a DEA defibrillator, his life could not be saved.
Several units of the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police), two teams from the Bombers de la Generalitat (Generalitat Firefighters), and members of the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) responded to the scene.
The Mossos d'Esquadra have informed the investigating court in Figueres and notified the Department of Business and Labour of the Generalitat de Catalunya, as per the protocol for workplace accidents.
