Castelló d'Empúries Town Hall begins the second phase of drinking water network renovation works in the Montgrí sector of Empuriabrava in September, improving basic infrastructure.

The second phase of the drinking water network renovation works in the Montgrí sector of Empuriabrava will commence this September. This municipal project is part of a plan to enhance the town's basic infrastructure and modernize the area's water supply system.
The work began on June 29th with the completion of the initial phase. This first stage involved replacing several pipe sections and making connections to individual household supply lines.
The new phase, scheduled throughout September, will focus on the tree-lined promenade of the Montgrí sector, between numbers 63 and 236. Planned tasks include trench excavation, installation of new pipelines, and their connection to the existing network.
During the execution of the works, occasional mobility disruptions may occur, particularly affecting vehicle parking and access to some private properties. However, vehicle circulation will be maintained whenever possible, and a safe route for pedestrians will be ensured at all times.
The work will take place between 8 AM and 6 PM, aiming to improve network efficiency, reduce incidents, and ensure a higher quality service for the sector's residents.
The third and final phase of the project is planned for October and will affect properties located at numbers 237, 215, 214, 213, 206, 205, 190, 189, 174, 173, 158, and 157 in the Montgrí sector.
Castelló d'Empúries Town Hall thanks the residents for their understanding and cooperation regarding the temporary inconvenconveniences caused by these works, emphasizing the municipality's commitment to continued investment in infrastructure modernization and public service improvements.
