The Roses City Council has approved a project to install 38 new video surveillance cameras with intelligent analysis systems to improve citizen safety and traffic control.

The new system will enable license plate recognition and manage alerts to detect potentially dangerous vehicles or those of police interest. This initiative by the Citizen Security Area aims to create a deterrent effect through the presence of cameras connected to a centralized system at the Local Police headquarters.
The project involves installing the license plate management system at thirty-eight strategic points within the municipality, including the town center, main roads, and access routes to various developments. Furthermore, the fifteen existing video surveillance cameras will be integrated into the same management platform.
With a total budget of €640,805, the definitive approval of the project will allow for the initiation of procedures to award the supply, installation, integration, and commissioning of the new system.
