This distinction, awarded by the Catalan Confederation of Ornamental Horticulture (CHOC), highlights the natural and landscape richness of the municipality. Roses has been recognized not only for maintaining its excellence in landscaping but also for its recent improvements.
This year, the jury particularly commended the renovation of the flowerbeds along the Maritime Promenade, in front of Catalunya Square. This initiative involved implementing low-water-consumption plant species, well-adapted to the marine environment, and diversifying the municipal tree population with more sustainable and resilient varieties.
The Viles Florides movement aims to promote and publicly recognize landscaping projects, urban furniture, and recreational spaces that serve as examples for other municipalities, thereby contributing to the enhancement of the landscape and quality of life.
