During the past week, the Governor of Rotary District 2202, Josep Maria Buqueras, arrived in the Girona regions. The visit was highlighted by institutional receptions in Girona and Banyoles, in addition to several meetings with members.
Notably, Buqueras met with the respective mayors, Lluc Salellas in Girona and Miquel Noguer in Banyoles. These meetings emphasized the importance of collaboration between social entities and local administrations to promote impactful initiatives.
The main goal of the visit was to reinforce the organization's presence on the Costa Brava, a purpose that materialized with the constitution of the new Rotary Club Badia de Roses.
Buqueras also visited other Girona clubs, including Blanes-Costa Brava Sud, Costa Brava, Lloret de Mar, and Roses-Empuriabrava, before concluding the day with a training seminar to launch the new initiative.
