Yesterday afternoon, the rehearsal room of the Municipal Theatre of Roses hosted the first session of the Workshop on conversation through children's school songs, organized by the CPNL of Girona.

The activity, aimed at people starting to speak Catalan, aims to practice the language in an enjoyable and participatory way through traditional children's songs. The session was led by Fina Puigdomènech, a volunteer for the 'Voluntariat per la Llengua' program.
Participants of different levels sang popular melodies such as 'Cada dia al dematí', 'Cargol treu banya', 'Sol solet', and 'Plou i fa sol'. Explanations about the meaning of the lyrics and the cultural context enriched the experience and fostered conversation.
This workshop is part of the CPNL's complementary activities to promote the learning of Catalan and the knowledge of Catalan culture.
The activity will continue with two more sessions on November 18th and December 16th.
