According to data presented by the group, the annual investment per inhabitant in the Alt Penedès has fallen to 104 euros, a figure that contrasts with the 282-euro average received by the rest of the country. This situation has been described as unfavorable for the region's interests, which stands out as one of the territories with the highest demographic growth in Catalonia.
Faced with these figures, representatives from Impulsem have announced their intention to request an urgent meeting with the Department of the Presidency. The goal of this meeting is to address what they consider an imbalance in territorial financing and to demand an improvement in the budget allocations for the area.
The group has also questioned long-term investment promises, such as the creation of a new railway line, arguing that the region's needs require immediate action. Spokespersons emphasized that the territory cannot wait decades to see improvements in infrastructure and basic services materialized.
