El Pla del Penedès has completed the second phase of rehabilitation for the Centre Agrícola i Social, improving the hall's insulation, acoustics, stage, and flooring.

The Centre Agrícola i Social in El Pla del Penedès is advancing in its recovery with the completion of the second phase of improvements. The two executed phases have received a subsidy of 350,000 euros from the Diputació de Barcelona, allocated to actions on the hall's insulation, acoustics, stage, and flooring.
On Wednesday, September 30th, municipal representatives, including Mayor Loli Chacón, Urbanism Councilor Jordi Esteve, and Social Action Councilor Cristina Gallego, along with other councilors and the project architects, presented the status of the works to the center's board and members of the Research Group.
The first phase, carried out in 2024, focused on renovating, insulating, and soundproofing the hall's ceiling, with a contribution of 200,000 euros from the Diputació de Barcelona.
The second phase, initiated in 2025 and concluded in 2026, has continued to improve acoustics and renovate key elements. The side walls have been soundproofed, and a new, larger stage with access stairs has been constructed.
One of the most notable improvements has been the flooring renovation. A new screed has been installed with artisanal hydraulic tiles that replicate the original design, enhancing the hall's conditions while preserving its historical image.
This second phase received 150,000 euros from the Diputació de Barcelona. In total, the two phases amount to 350,000 euros in subsidies and have been supervised by the municipal architect and the author of the overall rehabilitation project.
These actions reaffirm the commitment to the recovery of the Centre Agrícola i Social, a fundamental facility for the social and cultural life of El Pla del Penedès.
