The red-and-white team has made history by achieving promotion to Tercera Catalana. The success was sealed after a thrilling second-leg playoff match against AD Monjos. The team, managed by Toni Colomé, triumphed in a 4-2 penalty shootout, after the regular match ended 3-2, levelling the 1-0 score from the first leg.
This victory marks the end of a particularly intense season for Puigdàlber. The team narrowly missed promotion last season and this year battled neck-and-neck with Atlètic Vilanova throughout the regular league. Ultimately, Vilanova finished first, forcing Puigdàlber into the playoffs.
The decisive match against Monjos was filled with emotion. With packed stands of fans from both sides, Monjos took an early lead with a goal from Alex Gil in the 1st minute. Things seemed to be going the home team's way, as they entered the match on a 14-game winning streak. However, Puigdàlber responded strongly, turning the score to 2-1 within ten minutes thanks to goals from Izan García and Aleix Masagú.
The final moments of the game were nail-biting. Monjos equalized in the 84th minute with a goal from Ilya Prokopchuk. Just as promotion seemed destined for Santa Margarida i els Monjos, Puigdàlber scored the decisive 3-2 in stoppage time, courtesy of Aarón Piñol. The final score led to a penalty shootout, where Puigdàlber proved more accurate.
