The 19th edition of the Vijazz festival began this Friday in Vilafranca del Penedès, establishing itself as a key event that fuses international jazz with the Catalan wine sector.

The opening day was attended by institutional representatives, including the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, who highlighted the cultural potential of the initiative. Throughout the weekend, the capital of the Alt Penedès region is hosting various musical performances and activities related to the world of wine.
The main activity is concentrated on Rambla Sant Francesc, where a 1200-square-meter tent has been set up to host 22 wineries. Attendees can taste wines from the DO Penedès, DO Cava, as well as Corpinnat and Clàssic Penedès sparkling wines.
At the same time, the series of tastings and pairings at El Casal – Societat La Principal has seen high participation. The program includes varied gastronomic proposals and sessions guided by industry professionals, aiming to showcase the wine-growing identity of the region.
