The municipality of Pacs del Penedès recently celebrated a significant event with the inauguration of its model at the renowned Catalunya en Miniatura park. This addition will allow some of the town's most emblematic spaces and monuments to be showcased to a wider audience.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by numerous residents, as well as local cultural groups. Popular dances such as “Les Orenetes”, the Bastoners, the Gegantons, the cap gros de la Rosa Tort, and the grallers ensemble enlivened the day, creating a festive and cultural atmosphere to accompany the celebration.
The model faithfully represents key elements of Pacs del Penedès, including the Sant Genís church, the unique wooden bridge of the Penedès region, and the Salzereda area with a recreation of Tasta Pacs l’Origen. It also features the municipality's seven wineries, highlighting its rich wine-making tradition and identity.
During the event, mayor Montse Amat emphasized the importance of this presence at Catalunya en Miniatura as an opportunity to introduce the municipality, its heritage, culture, landscape, and traditions to visitors from across the country.
The Town Council of Pacs del Penedès expressed its gratitude to the model-making team at Catalunya en Miniatura for the "great work done, the level of detail, and the sensitivity with which they have managed to represent some of the municipality's most emblematic spaces".
With this new addition, Pacs del Penedès becomes part of one of the most visited tourist attractions in Catalonia, reinforcing its profile and attracting the interest of new visitors, while staying true to its roots.
