Mayor Loli Chacón, along with councilors Jordi Esteve and Cristina Gallego, and representatives from other municipal groups, recently visited the works of the second phase of this facility.
The visit, prompted by a request from the Junts municipal group in the last council meeting, included the municipal architect Alba Pijoan, responsible for overseeing the project. Also invited were the former president of the entity, members of the research group Grem, and members of the Coral Sol Ixent 1904 choir, who are closely linked to the center.
The second phase of the renovation has improved the hall's acoustics, soundproofed the side walls, built a larger stage, and renewed the flooring with hydraulic tiles replicating the original design.
The atmosphere during the visit was cordial, highlighting the local government's commitment to continuing the improvements needed for the Agricultural and Social Center, seeking further grants to complete the remaining phases.
Both executed phases have been supported by the Diputació de Barcelona: 200,000 euros for the first, completed in 2024, and 150,000 euros for the second, finished in 2026.
