The selection process to fill five Local Police officer positions in Vilafranca del Penedès began this Thursday. The call for applications, using a competitive examination system, will progressively assess the skills and knowledge of the 160 candidates.
The Councilor for Citizen Security, Ramon Zaballa, highlighted the consolidation of five positions within the current staff and positively assessed the high number of applications received. "We are convinced that we will continue to have a team of great professionals, involved and well-prepared," he stated.
The selection process includes tests on Catalan language knowledge, general culture, theoretical knowledge, physical aptitude, a psychometric test, and a medical examination. Subsequently, candidates' merits will be evaluated.
Selected individuals will need to complete a basic training course at the Institut de Seguretat Pública de Catalunya and a 12-month practical training period before being appointed as permanent civil servants.
