Riudebitlles Art Biennial Celebrates 13th Edition with Dance, Jazz, and Exhibitions

The 13th Riudebitlles Art Biennial - Paper Art kicks off on Friday, October 23rd, with a diverse program of cultural activities extending until November 22nd, and exhibitions open until February 2027 in Sant Pere de Riudebitlles and Capellades.

The event begins on Friday, October 23rd, at 7:30 PM in front of the casal dels Marquesos de Llió with the dance performance Pastor, by Xavier Gumà. Following this, the official inauguration of the Biennial will take place, organized by the Sant Pere de Riudebitlles Town Council and the collective Riudebitlles Territori d’Art. The evening will conclude with an awards ceremony and a jazz concert by Stolen Moments Trio, featuring Joan Vigo on bass, Pere Vallès on drums, and Sisu Coromina on saxophone.
Throughout the weekend of October 24th and 25th, exhibitions will be open to the public at cal Xerta and the MAT Library. On Friday, October 30th, at 8 PM at cal Xerta, the book Contra l’obediència, per acabar amb els consensos de l’art (Against Obedience, to End Art Consensuses) by Joan Maria Minguet will be presented, analyzing culture as a field of conflict and resistance.
Exhibitions at cal Xerta and the MAT Library will be open on the weekends of October 31st and November 1st. On Friday, November 20th, at 8:30 PM at cal Xerta, the exhibition Cromatologies: the secret language of color by Argentine artists Natali Bonaudi and María Victoria Zantedeschi will open. This proposal explores color as a symbolic and emotional language, connecting with the paper-making heritage of Sant Pere de Riudebitlles.
The Biennial will conclude on Sunday, November 22nd, at 1 PM at the viewpoint of the Museu Molí Paperer de Capellades (Paper Mill Museum of Capellades), with the inauguration of the main exhibition of the 13th Art Biennial. The works can be visited at the Museu Molí Paperer de Capellades (Passeig de la Concepció s/núm.) from November 22nd, 2026, to February 14th, 2027. Opening hours are weekdays from 10 AM to 2 PM, and weekends and holidays from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. It will be closed on December 24th, 25th, 26th, and 31st, 2026, and January 1st and 6th, 2027.
