Residents of the Cel Blau neighborhood in Sant Pere de Riudebitlles have submitted a report to the City Council documenting 42 burglaries over 25 years, with a notable increase since 2021.

Residents of the Cel Blau neighborhood have prepared a detailed study which they have submitted to the Sant Pere de Riudebitlles City Council. The report analyzes data collected over 25 years across 173 homes located on Vilafranca, Torrent Cuitor, Jacint Verdaguer, Cadí, Moisés Broggi, Serra d’Or, and Santiago Russinyol streets.
According to the data, 42 burglaries have been recorded in the last 25 years. The rate remained very low (between zero and one case annually) between 1999 and 2015. However, an increase occurred in 2016 with 6 burglaries, and since 2021 the figure has stabilized at 5 annual burglaries.

The objective is to demonstrate with data that a serious security problem exists, to record the number of incidents, and to draw conclusions to help the authorities implement effective measures, prioritizing the solution to the problem without accepting it as a normal situation.

The main objective of the residents is to use this historical documentation to urge local authorities to prioritize security and implement effective solutions to reverse this upward trend in neighborhood crime.
