The National Police arrested 162 individuals linked to radical football factions during the first half of the 2025/26 season, following 15 coordinated operations across various provinces in Spain.

The actions, coordinated by the General Information Commissariat, are part of the zero-tolerance strategy against sports violence. Most detainees are involved in crimes of affray, public disorder, assault, and belonging to a criminal group.
The Ministry of the Interior highlighted that many of these groups have hierarchical structures and act in an organized and premeditated manner. The predominant profile of those arrested are males between 18 and 40 years old with previous public order records.

The National Police emphasizes the importance of the preventive work carried out by the Information groups, which has allowed them to neutralize numerous planned meetings for violent clashes between rival ultras.

Preventive work has been crucial, neutralizing numerous planned meetings. Among the most relevant actions is the intervention on November 1, 2025, which prevented a clash between Frente Atlético and Biris Norte before the Atlético de Madrid - Sevilla match.
Prevention also extended internationally, avoiding a confrontation in Slovakia between Rayo Vallecano and SK Slovan Bratislava ultras, and in lower categories in Talavera de la Reina, where dangerous objects like flares and extendable batons were seized.
