The majority of the sanctions, 29 in total, are linked to motorized circulation in natural zones. These actions were carried out during a special surveillance operation deployed between August 10th and 12th, coinciding with the time of maximum visitor influx to observe the astronomical phenomenon.
The operation mobilized 150 rural agents throughout the Catalan territory. Surveillance included the participation of specialized groups by both air and sea, as well as the special group for poisons and anti-poaching. In total, 752 preventive actions were carried out.
During the early morning hours, personnel maintained proactive surveillance in natural areas. The main objective was to prevent conduct that could negatively affect these environments, ensuring environmental conservation. Special emphasis was placed on fire use, camping, vehicle circulation and improper parking, as well as waste abandonment.
