The Associació d'Amics de la Vall de Cabó concluded this March the 920th-anniversary celebrations of the Greuges de Guitard Isarn, a landmark document in the history of the Catalan language.

The closing ceremony, held at the Institut d'Estudis Ilerdencs in Lleida, featured a panel of experts including Ramon Sistac and Joan Anton Rabella. They highlighted the manuscript's role as a primary source for understanding medieval feudalism and the linguistic transition to early Catalan in the 12th century.

"This anniversary is not the end of anything, but rather the beginning and a great motivation to continue promoting the manuscript."

Discovered in 1905 by Joaquim Miret i Sans, the document was recently dated by historian Josep Maria Salrach to between 1105 and 1106. Recent findings also attributed its authorship to a cleric named Ramon. The local association in Cabó continues to promote this heritage, maintaining a permanent exhibition at the Romanesque church of Sant Serni.
