The town of Estamariu, organized by the Fundació Planes Corts, will host an event that combines various artistic and cultural disciplines.
Music will be one of the main focuses, with singer-songwriter Roger Mas as the headliner, performing on Saturday, September 12th, at 9 PM in the Sant Vicenç church. The musical program also includes the jazz duo formed by Celeste Alias and Santi Careta on Friday at 8 PM, and the group Ribatònics with traditional and folk music on Saturday in the Font Vella square.
The festival will also offer workshops on building instruments like the rabequet (shepherd's violin), technique and song, improvised song with Pep Lizandra and Allona Riera, parades, and the show Cabaret Pagès. The company Improvistos Krusty Show will close the circus offerings on Sunday midday.
Around thirty Pyrenean artists will transform chicken coops into artistic installations displayed throughout the village streets. The Espai Joan Planes will host an exhibition by the collective l'Aparador, and throughout the weekend there will be an artisan market and gastronomic stalls.
A guided tasting of cheeses will take place, in collaboration with the Cheese Artisan Fair of the Pyrenees in la Seu d’Urgell, paired with KADINO wine from Vinyes Estamariu.
Festimariu also promotes nature discovery with a guided ornithological outing led by Jordi Dalmau, a Forest Bathing experience, and a paper bird workshop, in addition to guided visits to the Sant Vicenç church.
The literary sphere will be enhanced with a recital of Catalan and Occitan poetry featuring Ramon Besora, Meritxell Nus, Eva Arasa, Marco Mastrocola, and Eloi Planes, accompanied by Núria Llobet on violin. The program will open with the presentation of Paco Boya's book, ‘Bajo el mismo cielo’, which will inaugurate the new Biblioteca de Cal Parramon, a space that will also host storytelling and children's workshops.
