The 2026-2027 school year begins with the enrollment of 1,999 students in the educational centers of La Seu d'Urgell and Castellciutat. Of these, 90 boys and girls are starting their education in Kindergarten 3, and 190 will be attending secondary school (ESO).
In the municipal nursery schools, 173 children are starting the year. The municipal nursery school Els Minairons has 93 children enrolled, Xics La Salle has 50, and the Francesc Xavier nursery school has 30.
For the second cycle of early childhood education and primary education, 1,047 students are beginning school. The Albert Vives school has 412 enrolled, Pau Claris has 235, Castell-Ciutat has 35 students, and La Salle college accommodates 375.
In Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), 779 students will be joining. Of these, 337 will attend the Joan Brudieu Institute, 208 the La Valira Institute, and 234 the La Salle college.
Baccalaureate and vocational training courses will involve 634 students. The Joan Brudieu Institute will receive 231 Baccalaureate students and 178 for vocational training. At La Salle, 225 students will begin vocational training. These studies commence next Monday, September 14th.
Finally, 17 students will follow the Specific Training Itinerary (IFE), and 9 will join the Training and Insertion Program-Transition to Work Plan (PFI-PTT).
