A joint operation between the Mossos d'Esquadra, the National Police, the Civil Guard, and the Local Police has resulted in the arrest of three people in Alt Urgell.

The operation, carried out this past Wednesday, aimed to inspect five commercial establishments located in La Seu d'Urgell and Montferrer i Castellbó. The action focused on detecting crimes against workers' rights, irregular immigration situations, and serious administrative infractions.
During the inspections, officers located several workers without employment contracts and precarious living conditions in some of the premises, including spaces set up for sleeping. In one of the establishments, located in Montferrer i Castellbó, facilities for the production of fermented beverages without sanitary control were found, which prompted the intervention of the Department of Health.
The three detainees, two women and one man, are accused of crimes against workers' rights and illegal trafficking of labor. In addition to the arrests, officers seized 33,000 euros in cash during the search of one of the premises. The suspects were brought before the Instruction Court on duty in La Seu d'Urgell this Thursday.
