Alta Ribagorça is incorporating a new training offer with the authorization of the Professional Certificate in Sociosanitary Care for Dependent Persons at the Escola Pia in El Pont de Suert, thanks to institutional collaboration.

Alta Ribagorça has taken a significant step forward in enhancing its training offerings with the approval of the Professional Certificate in Sociosanitary Care for Dependent Persons in Social Institutions. The Catalan Public Employment Service (SOC) has granted the request from the Escola Pia de Catalunya to provide this training at their center in El Pont de Suert.
This achievement is the result of coordinated efforts involving the Consell Comarcal de l'Alta Ribagorça, the Escola Pia, the Town Council of El Pont de Suert, and various local stakeholders. The aim has been to align training programs with current labor market demands and the region's strategic sectors.
The Consell Comarcal played a crucial role by providing the facilities and equipment of the Elderly Residence, which are essential for SOC accreditation, and by coordinating the necessary administrative procedures.
This new authorization will enable the Escola Pia to participate in Dual Occupational Vocational Training (FPO Dual) calls, thereby creating new career opportunities for individuals and improving the region's care services.
In parallel, applications are being processed for professional certificates in Canyon Guiding and Aquatic Facility Lifeguarding, with the goal of further expanding the training portfolio.
The Consell Comarcal views this resolution very positively, seeing it as a significant advancement for increasing educational opportunities and strengthening professional qualifications in high-demand sectors.
