The Pumpkin Fair in Calaf reaches its tenth edition on Sunday, November 1st, coinciding with All Saints' Day. The event will take place in the Plaça dels Arbres, from 10 AM to 2 PM, offering a morning full of activities centered around this autumn product, combining gastronomy, local commerce, crafts, and entertainment for the whole family.
One of the main attractions will be the giant pumpkin contest. From 8 AM, participants' pumpkins will be received, verified, and weighed, with awards presented at 1 PM. The contest offers 700 euros in prizes: 400 euros for the first place, 200 for the second, and 100 for the third.
From 10 AM, visitors can stroll through the Pumpkin Market, featuring stalls selling pumpkins, artisan products, and local food items. There will also be an exhibition of autumn produce. The «Tasta la Carbassa» (Taste the Pumpkin) area will offer gastronomic tastings by local restaurants and businesses.
The company Tombs Creatius will present «Xics del Xurrac», a participatory wooden games activity for children and families. Additionally, a children's workshop titled «Pinta la teva carbassa» (Paint Your Pumpkin) will be held. With this tenth edition, the fair solidifies its place in Calaf's autumn calendar.
The fair is organized by the Calaf Town Council, with support from the Barcelona Provincial Council.
