The mobilization, driven by the student collective Moviment Educació Fora de l’Aula, brought together secondary school students from public institutes in the Conca d’Òdena region. The students are demanding more resources for education and better teacher salaries, which they see as crucial for maintaining school trips, considered a fundamental part of education.
The movement acknowledges that cancelling excursions is not the most effective way to be heard but expresses empathy with teachers and understands their decision to strike. The protest also voiced discontent towards the Department of Education and its minister, Esther Niubó.
More inclusion, more resources
Our education is not to be touched, it is defended
Niubó, listen, a revolt is coming
