The Convent del Carme in Valls hosted today the final session of a cycle dedicated to women's health, focusing on perimenopause and menopause.

The city of Valls has concluded its cycle of activities on women's health with a talk at the Convent del Carme. The session, titled “Enjoy Your Perimenopause and Menopause,” was led by Marta Mercè, a renowned nutritionist and communicator.
This initiative, promoted by the Department of Equality and Feminisms of the Valls City Council in collaboration with the Office of Social and Community Action, aimed to raise public awareness about the importance of women's health throughout all life stages. Tools were offered to promote healthy lifestyle habits and facilitate informed decision-making.
The cycle commemorated the International Day of Action for Women's Health and included a total of four activities. It began on May 20th with the exhibition “Breaking the Silence: Women and Mental Health,” followed by talks on pregnancy and postpartum, gender bias in health, and finally today's session on perimenopause and menopause.
This marks the first time that Valls has organized specific events to commemorate this international date, signifying a step forward in the visibility and promotion of women's health in the municipality.
