Turó Peira was overcome 2-1 by Igualada in the first leg of the Liga Élite promotion play-off semi-finals. Despite the defeat, a goal scored in stoppage time leaves the tie completely open for the return match.
The home team managed to take a two-goal lead during the second half. The first came in the 65th minute, scored by Eduald Carbó, following a good play down the left wing by Sandoval. Later, in the 82nd minute, Hugo Santana made it 2-0 from a free-kick on the flank.
Despite the psychological blow of conceding the second goal, the team from Nou Barris did not give up. In one of the final actions of the game, Yago Lahoz managed to reduce the deficit, scoring the final 2-1. This goal could be decisive for Turó Peira's comeback aspirations in the return leg.
The match, played at Igualada's ground and with initial possession dominance by the home side, saw few clear chances during the first half. The second leg will take place next Sunday at Turó's ground.
