The ordinary May session gave the green light to this second stage of the project, which also includes the refurbishment of the surrounding area and the facade of the sports facility, as well as the replacement of the turf and conditioning of the main field. Once the public exhibition period and final approval are completed, the municipal objective is to launch the tender and begin construction this year.
This second phase of the La Triola project has generated significant political debate in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia in recent weeks. Junts criticized the governing team for the delay in carrying out the works, while the PSC recalled that the situation was inherited from the previous municipal government led by Junts.
The governing team argued that the project was initiated at the time without the Urban Planning Plan for the sports area having been approved. This urban planning plan received municipal approval last March, which has now allowed progress on the second phase of the project.
