This Saturday, October 17th, at 7 PM, La Sala (the municipal exhibition hall) was the venue for the awards ceremony of the 46th "Típics Tres Tombs 2026" Photography Contest. The event, organized by the Old Guild of Traginers of Igualada and the Photographic Association of Igualada, saw a participation of 164 photographs submitted by 24 photographers.
This year, the awards ceremony took place a few months later than usual due to the rescheduling of the Tres Tombs events, which are traditionally held in January but this year occurred in April. This extension of the calendar has made the photography contest one of the season's final events.
In the first category, focusing on the activities and atmosphere of the Tres Tombs, the first prize went to Andreu Noguero Cazorla (Sitges) for his work "A Serrat", sponsored by Supermercats Supermas. The second prize, sponsored by Taller Electromecànic Pujol, was awarded to M.José Sayavera Delgado (Igualada) for "Simetria".
The second category, dedicated to the participants of the Tres Tombs, honored the Igualada local Manel Caballé Miquel with the work "Retrat amb escut", sponsored by El Bruc Gasolinera-Cafeteria Queralt. The second prize in this category was given to M.Victòria Planas Salvador from Sitges for her photograph "Petit traginer", thanks to the collaboration of Instal·lacions Litre i Amper, S.L and Bufet Font.
The special prize was awarded to Lluís Pérez Mañosas, from La Pobla de Claramunt, for his work "Vermut de Reus", with the support of the Old Guild of Traginers of Igualada.
In conjunction with the awards ceremony, the exhibition of the participating photographs was inaugurated. It will be open to the public at the exhibition hall on c/ Garcia Fossas (Plaça de la Creu) until November 8th. Visiting hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from 6 PM to 8 PM; Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 2 PM; and Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. The hall will be closed on Mondays and public holidays.
The organizing entities have congratulated the winners, thanked all participants, and acknowledged the sponsors for making another edition of the contest possible.
