The works, with a total cost of 40,587.79 euros, are supported by a subsidy of 35,831.43 euros from the Catalan Water Agency (ACA), requested by the council in 2023.
The project, expected to last approximately three weeks, includes the construction of a new 170-meter pipe section to replace the current one in a problematic area. Taps, pressure and discharge valves will also be replaced, and a new hydrant will be installed.
This upgrade will provide Pla de Torruella with a renewed, updated, and sectorized water network, improving service quality and continuity. The installation of the new high-flow, high-pressure hydrant will also enhance area safety in case of fire.
The Jorba City Council emphasizes that this action addresses a municipal need and moves towards more modern, efficient, and secure facilities.
