Last Friday, October 2nd, the voting process for the VI participatory budgets of La Torre de Claramunt closed, with a total of xx votes cast. The two proposals that received the most citizen support will be executed during the upcoming year 2027.
With 102 votes, the winning proposal is the "Improvement and expansion of Christmas lighting in the municipality". This initiative plans to install more lights and decorations on the main streets of La Torre de Claramunt and its various hamlets, aiming to make it more welcoming and festive during the Christmas season. The use of low-consumption LED lights and reusable decoration is considered.
The second most voted proposal, with 70 votes, is "Renovate sports area of Les Pinedes de l'Armengol". This action includes fencing the access arches to restrict vehicle traffic, enhancing safety for users of the tennis and paddle tennis courts, and preventing uncivil activities. It also involves the renovation of the tennis court and paddle tennis court, replacing damaged fences, installing gates, and repairing the ground, lighting, and nets.
Other proposals that advanced to the voting phase included "Gardened and flowered villages" (54 votes), "Automatic electronic entrance" (53 votes), and "Table tennis tables in Parc del Mil·leni" (20 votes).
The process, which began on May 4th with a budget of 50,000 euros, has been overseen by a monitoring committee composed of residents from the municipality, in coordination with the technical and administrative committee of the Town Hall.
