The initiative is part of the Vincles project, which aims to promote meeting spaces for practicing Catalan in a familiar and participatory environment. The sessions will take place during school hours in the town's educational centers and will be particularly aimed at students' families, although open to anyone interested.
Initially, two groups have been organized: one at the Institut Escola Piera on Tuesdays from 3 PM to 4 PM, and another at the Escola Bressol El Gall Mullat on Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Information about a third group at the Escola Creixà, in Can Canals, will be provided soon.
Participants will receive certification for the conversation hours completed. Interested individuals can register directly at the educational centers or contact the Piera City Council via email at pieraeduca@ajpiera.cat or by phone at 93 778 20 00 (extension 197).
Through this initiative, the Piera City Council aims to encourage the social use of Catalan and strengthen ties between families, educational centers, and the community, promoting the language as a tool for communication, coexistence, and social cohesion.
