The town of Sant Martí de Tous is preparing to celebrate its 2025 Festival, an event promising days of reunion, popular culture, tradition, music, theater, sports, and shared festivities. The program, designed for all ages, will commence on November 1st and will concentrate the main bulk of activities during the weekend of Friday 7th, Saturday 8th, and Sunday 9th of November.
The program combines some of the town's most deeply rooted events, such as the Ball de Faixes (traditional dance), sardanes (traditional Catalan dances), the correfoc (fire run), and the bell ringing, with theatrical performances, music, cinema, children's activities, sports, and gastronomy. The Casa del Teatre Nu will be one of the main venues, celebrating its 25th anniversary with various activities, including plays like “4.200 km” and puppet shows like “Trapos” by Coriolis.
Sporting activities include the Slot Car Championship, the Bowling Championship, a table tennis tournament, the 12th Hivernal PANNA el Bandoler (winter race), the 3rd Paella Contest, and matches for youth teams and the first team of UE Tous. Gastronomy will also play a significant role with the Festa Major Dinner and a popular dinner preceding the Cercabirres (street music parade).
Popular culture will have its space with the correfoc featuring the Diables de Santa Caterina and Mal Llamp d’Igualada, the final firework display, the Ball de Faixes with giants, big-heads, and grallers (traditional musicians), and sardanes with the Cobla Catània. The Racó del Ball de Faixes (Ball de Faixes corner) will also be inaugurated, alongside exhibitions of art and historical photographs of the town.
The festival will feature musical performances such as Guateque with DJ XADEYDER, the young people's concert with Her Majesty + DJ, the concert with Pascual i els Desnatats, and the humor show “La niña bonita” by en Peyu. The children's program includes wooden games, puppet shows, and inflatables.
The Festival is organized by the Ajuntament de Sant Martí de Tous, with the collaboration of the Comissió dels 50, local entities, and residents. The prohibition of selling alcoholic beverages to minors under 18 is reminded, and responsible consumption is promoted.
