The XVII Fira del Camí Ral transformed the heart of Vilanova del Camí last Sunday, bringing together over a hundred stalls, gastronomy, and a historical performance.

More than a hundred stalls were distributed between the Plaça Major and the carrer Major in Vilanova del Camí, complemented by a gastronomic area featuring food trucks and local restaurateurs. One of this year's major novelties was the introduction of the PACO Space (Parc Agrari de la Conca d’Òdena) in the Plaça Major.
This meeting point offered a joint stall of local products and hosted two highly successful activities: honey tasting and wine tasting. Simultaneously, children enjoyed workshops, a camp area, a small train, and ecological attractions.
The cultural highlight was the play Fill de Pagès i Fillol de Noble (Son of a Peasant and Godson of a Noble), which in its fifth edition demonstrated the strength of the local associative fabric. Over a hundred people participated in the spectacle, which recreated a historical episode: the baptism of young Maria Gertrudis, sponsored by the Counts of Plasència in 1667.

Beyond the sweets, the initiative of distributing bags with chocolate coins hid 50 euro vouchers to be spent in local shops, actively supporting local commerce.

Finally, one of the most anticipated moments was the presentation of the new figures of the local festive imagery. The Colla de Geganters i Grallers de Vilanova del Camí unveiled the giantesses Vila and Nova, who represent two bandit women, linking the festive heritage with the history of the Camí Ral.
