Aran Salut has launched a series of actions to enhance thermal comfort in its healthcare facilities amidst high summer temperatures, with the installation of air conditioning units and fans.

In response to the high temperatures recorded this summer, Aran Salut has initiated several actions to mitigate the effects of heat in its healthcare facilities. As a first step, portable air conditioning units will be installed in consultation rooms, prioritizing spaces where this solution is most effective due to their size. This initiative will help reduce the ambient temperature during the hottest hours.
An air handling unit (fancoil) will be installed in the central corridor of the emergency department's bays to enhance cooling capacity and improve comfort for users and staff. Large-capacity fans will be placed in the waiting room to promote air circulation.
In parallel, Aran Salut is working on medium-term structural solutions. The project for the new CAP in Vielha, currently in the permitting phase, will include a comprehensive air conditioning system. A definitive climate control solution for the Inpatient area, which will remain in the current building, is also being drafted.
These actions reflect Aran Salut's commitment to improving its facilities and providing more comfortable and safer healthcare environments.
