The talk "Es maquis en Bossòst. Tres crotzes e ua hemna" (The maquis in Bossòst. Three crosses and a woman), led by Joan Carles Riera Socasau, shed light on new findings regarding the events of October 1944. These revelations, supported by photographs, documents, and previously unseen images, have enhanced understanding of this historical episode.
The event was attended by Jordi Font, director of the Memorial Democràtic, and Josep Calvet, Head of Content, Education, and Projects at the same institution. Both participated in this act of recovery and dissemination of historical memory.
Following the talks, a memorial route was inaugurated, followed by a guided tour of the newly marked sites. This was complemented by an exhibition focused on the maquis in the Val d'Aran and Pallars regions.
The Town Council of Bossòst expressed gratitude for the collaboration of the Memorial Democràtic, the speakers, and all participants in this day, which contributes to preserving, understanding, and transmitting the collective memory of the territory.
