This investment is part of the Financial Cooperation Program, designed for renovation, adaptation, and improvement works in schools and special education centers. The initiative covers all municipalities in Catalonia that manage these centers, with the exception of Barcelona, which operates under a special regime through the Education Consortium.

The planned actions must be carried out between 2026 and 2028. The main objective is to modernize the facilities to adapt them to current needs, extend their useful life, and ensure a healthier and more efficient environment for the educational community.

Among the improvements that can be implemented are the replacement of obsolete architectural elements or installations, such as roofs, carpentry, boilers, bathrooms, kitchens, and dining rooms. The program also includes the improvement of building envelopes and enclosures, the installation of management and control systems (domotics, automation), and the replacement of lighting fixtures. A notable aspect is the removal of fiber cement, contributing to the safety and health of users.
